What's the best way to learn Chinese?
Another great educational tool is to use
Chinese
music and
children
songs to enhance children's interest in Chinese. Many children
love to sing or dance. The
Chinese
songs and music learned in childhood will stay with them forever.
These days, children are so used to watching TVs
and they learn super fast while watching cartoons. Even another
language is no sweat for them. That's why we carry many children's
Mandarin or Cantonese or bilingual DVDs and VCDs. Chinese
videos are the best way to help children learn Chinese.
Many of us may think watching
Chinese TV
dramas is just what adults enjoy. To the contrary, my daughter
picked up a lot of Chinese by watching Mandarin TV Dramas with me.
Usually, one movie usually lasts only 90 minutes for one story which
flashes by very quickly. Children may not get much out of it.
However, Chinese TV Dramas have many episodes about just one story,
proceeding with a slower pace which is exactly what is needed by
children who want to learn
Mandarin Chinese.
Cantonese Chinese is the second widely used Chinese spoken language.
Many people in Hong Kong and southern China use Cantonese. Parents
speaking Cantonese want their children to learn Cantonese as young as
they can. So we also carry many
Cantonese language products for this purpose.
Hanyu
Pinyin (Roman Pinyin) will show children how to pronounce
Chinese words.
Writing Chinese Characters is demonstrated stroke by stroke in many
of our products.
Adopted Chinese children wanting to learn English!
Chinese children being adopted by English speaking
families have the need to
learn
English. There are books and CDs or
bilingual Chinese DVDs/VCDs which can be very useful. We
highly recommend these materials being used to smooth their transition
into the English speaking world.
As parents, we have made the
commitment that our child is being brought up as
bilingual, so she/he learns English and Mandarin/Cantonese. We feel this ability will help her/him make the most of the opportunities that life
presents.

Sincerely,
Liberty House Company
